    A All I can tell you is I bought an S/L and it fits me. I have a wrist size of about 6 3/4" give or take. And you can probably tell by my review that though this has worked for me, it's been a PITA with constant software issues. I can't recommend it.

    A Hi Affan, the Polar Ignite 2 does not support the Triathlon Sports Profile. The Polar Vantage M, Vantage M2, Grit X and Polar Vantage V2 all support the Triathlon Sports Profile.
  11. Q I'm interested in two specific function: immediate heart rate readings and a mileage count (possible gps function) for cycling. does this apply?
    A Yes on both. You need to attach the Nike sensor though.
  12. Q does this have pulse ox, like the garmin watches do?
    A I have not seen the option, I believe it's just heart rate.

    A Hi Timothy, a chest strap is not included when purchasing the Polar Ignite 2 as the watch has an optical sensor on the back of the watch. If you prefer to use a sensor, the Polar H9, Polar H10 and Polar Verity Sense sensors are compatible with the Polar Ignite 2.

    A Hi Ricky, the Polar Ignite 2 does not have a Barometer, it uses GPS for altitude measurements. If you are looking for a Polar watch that uses a barometer for altitude measurements both the Polar Grit X and the Polar Vantage V2 have a barometer.

    A Hi Roger, the Polar Ignite 2 tracks activity like step count, calories, sleep, etc. but it does not track floors.

    A Have no intentions of returning mine but knowing Amazon and polar policy … I’m sure you will have good customer service experience

    A So the reason why I got it was not to count calories but more for comparison in calories burned to the Apple Watch. So to answer your question… it tracks steps, calories burned, and active times so that’s how I do my calculations. So if you track calories burned for an active and steps you can deduce your calorie count from a set calorie goal. Hope this helps. I love working out with it. For what’s worth.

    A Hi L'Raine, the Polar Ignite 2 tracks steps on the watch itself and when you sync the watch to the Polar Flow mobile application on your phone your step data will appear on your phone as well in the Polar Flow app.

    A Hello, The Ignite 2 in time mode does not stay on continuously. You can press the button or use the wrist gesture feature (turning wrist up to towards your chest) to illuminate the display. However while recording a training session you can keep the display on for the duration of the session.

    A Hi Leon, the Polar Ignite 2 needs to be on our wrist for at least one hour before we get in to bed for proper sleep tracking.

  31. Q Is this one waterproof?
    A Hi Wilma, yes the Polar Ignite 2 can be used in water for aqua aerobics, lap swimming or open water swimming and it has a water resistance rating of 30 meters. As long as you do not dive with the watch you can certainly use it in water and please make sure the device is fully dry before connecting it to a power source, we recommend waiting 24 hours before connecting the watch.

    A Hi Carol, the Polar Ignite 2 has a rechargeable battery which lasts up to 5 days depending on what features are enabled and how many hours a day the device is used for training. A charging cable is included in the box to recharge the device when the battery is low.

    A Hi, Smart Notifications are disabled when the Polar Ignite 2 is put in to training mode.

    A Hi Joseph, yes it is possible to disable GPS within your outdoor Sport Profile Settings, when GPS is turned off you will not receive GPS data like speed, distance and pace as well as a map of your route.

    A Hi Joseph, the Polar Ignite 2 can control the music playing on your phone but it does not store music on the watch itself.

    A I don't know yet. Personally I haven't gotten more than 5 hrs sleep in 3 days. The watch needs more data points.

    A Hi Patricia, if your machine supports Bluetooth sensors the Polar Ignite 2 will work as it broadcasts the users heart rate using Bluetooth.
  42. Q Is this watch 18 mm? Looking for a replacement band and want to make sure it connects properly.
    A The Ignite and Ignite 2 require 20mm Quick Release. 18mm will not work
  43. Q What OS (operating system) does it run on?
    A Hi Jamie, the Polar Ignite 2 runs on Polar's proprietary platform that is compatible with both Android and iOS devices as well Windows and Mac OS on your computer. The Polar Ignite 2 is compatible with Android mobile devices with Bluetooth 4.0 capability and Android 6 or later (check full phone specification from your phone manufacturer), iOS mobile devices with iOS 13 or later and Huawei mobile devices with Huawei App Gallery and Huawei Mobile Services installed. On your computer you can run the Polar FlowSync software if your computer is running Windows 8 or later or Mac OS 10.13 or later.
  44. Q Can this be used without a smart phone? Have computer only. Why no ratings?
    A Hi, the Polar Ignite 2 was released last week on Amazon so there may not be any ratings/reviews yet since this is a new device. You do not need a smartphone to use the Polar Ignite 2, you can install Polar FlowSync (flow.polar.com/start) on your computer (Windows/Mac) and connect your watch to register and sync your data.
