i have Afib and have been using my Charge 3 for several years to monitor my heartbeat. it will indicate your current heart rate and if you look at the blinking heart symbol next to that number you can tell if it's erratic or not. It does not specifically indicate Afib but after a while you get used to reading it and it works reasonably well. There are other FitBits that specifically advertise Afib indicators. BTW, I used a Charge 4 for several weeks and returned it for the reasons others have commented here.
